Atmosphere has a beautiful reef and plenty of marine life. It runs from 5 metres down to 30 metres and gives you a mix of muck and reef diving on one site, inside a marine sanctuary.
The dive
With depths from 5 to 30 metres, Atmosphere can be dived as a shallow reef dive or a deeper muck dive, so we plan it around your experience and what you want to see.
What you might see
- Cuttlefish, changing colour as they move
- Harlequin shrimps, usually in pairs and famous for feeding on sea stars
- Robust ghost pipefish, which look just like a drifting leaf or piece of seagrass
- Ornate ghost pipefish, delicate and colourful
- Reef fish and corals on the shallower sections
When to dive Atmosphere
Good all year, with water temperatures of about 25 to 29°C. See when to dive Dauin.
Who it suits
Divers of most levels on the shallower reef; the deeper muck areas are best for Advanced Open Water divers.
Our tip
Ghost pipefish often stay in one place for weeks. Ask our team where they have been seen recently before you go in.
Good to know
- Atmosphere is a marine sanctuary. The standard sanctuary fee is included in our dive price; with a camera, add PHP 50 per dive.
- Harlequin shrimps are small and easily stressed. Keep lights and strobes brief.
